Wonder Twins, Activate.
Wonder Twin powers, activated.
One last time for a little while.
From the moment they were born, they have been moving close to borrow each other's courage. Moving in tandem. To keep each other alive. To keep each other smiling. To grieve together, overcome together, become together.
We have always marveled at the goodness of God in their twinhood.
When they first came home to us, she would always take two snacks. One for her. One for him. She spoon fed him dinner and scrubbed his back in the bath. On the first day of high school, she nervously said to him as they got out of the car, "Zeke. Come with me."
From the womb, and across continents, countries and families. They were together.
I honestly was unsure how any of us would survive this moment.
With his US Army paperwork in hand, it was the hug that would set in motion their first solo battles.
I could feel them giving each other every last bit of their bravery.
Activating all their courage to get each other through.
"Work hard." She told him. "I love you."
I don't know how they did it.
I don't know how they did any of it.
They are a wonder.
